George Gresham was born about 1710 in King and Queen County, Virginia and died about 1785 after the Rev War ended. He was on the Byrd Bridge Petition of K&Q in 1744 with Henry and Ambrose Gresham.

He married Sarah (maiden name is unsourced) and his children's exact birth dates are all recorded in Miss Bagby's Bible Records. He was the father of several Rev. War Veterans. Many of his children migrated to Wilkes County, Georgia.
