Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ann Pilgrim will be on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Van Windom and Rev. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue, Friday, May 3, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
Mrs. Pilgrim, 81, of Roxie, MS peacefully passed from this life on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1938 in Philadelphia, MS to Mr. Morris Astus Woodson and Mrs. Dixie Moody Woodson.
She was a member of Hamburg Baptist Church. She love to garden and take care of her plants, flowers, and shrubs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Morris and Dixie Woodson; her husband, Billy Pilgrim and brothers Robert Woodson and Terry Woodson.
Survivors are her daughter, Elizabeth Wactor and Husband, Rev. Calvin Wactor of Roxie, MS; sons, Wesley Pilgrim (Carol) of Lake, MS, Michael Pilgrim of Gretna, LA; sisters, Barbara Woodson Pilgrim and husband James of Roxie, MS; brothers, William Marshal Woodson of Leola, AR, Walter Lee Woodson of Philadelphia, MS, Jerry Dewayne Woodson and wife of Judy of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren, Stephane, Brian, Tommy, Amanda, Amy, Fred, Laine, Shannon, Catlyn, Chelsea, Brady, Alaina; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Josh Thompson, David Pilgrim, Walter Woodson, Marshall Woodson, Jerry Woodson and Richard Pilgrim.
Honorary pallbearer is C. B. Pollan, James Pilgrim, Lucy Rudisell Pilgrim, and Catlyn Wactor.
