Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Pilgrim will be on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Jamie Wallace and Rev. Van Windom will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Pilgrim, 80, passed from this life on Monday, January 18, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1940, in Philadelphia, MS, to Mr. Morris Astus Woodson and Mrs. Dixie Wright Moody Woodson.
She enjoyed putting together different puzzles. She also enjoyed knitting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Morris and Dixie Woodson; sister, Betty Pilgrim; and brothers, Robert Woodson, Terry Woodson.
Survivors are her husband of 61 years, James E. Pilgrim; daughter, Gloria Tyler from Melder, LA; sons, James David Pilgrim, and wife, Amelia, of Roxie, Jim Pilgrim and wife, Penny, of Columbus, Richard Pilgrim, and wife, Lisa, of Tioga, LA; brothers, William Marshal Woodson of Leola, AR, Walter Lee Woodson of Philadelphia, Jerry Dwayne Woodson, and wife, Judy, of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Chris Stokes, Buster Pilgrim, Dokota McCarthy, Calvin Wactor, Jonathan Pilgrim, Richard Pilgrim.
Honorary Pallbearers are Payton Pilgrim, Vincente Romero, Jesse Ray Pilgrim, and Michael Taverez.
