Morrison, TN resident and Huntsville, AL native Terry Porter, age 73, was born March 14, 1946 and died April 27, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness.
A retired nurseryman with Boyd Brothers Nursery and a member of the Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Jesse Lee and Elah Novella Webster Porter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James Nathan Porter, Jerry Lee Porter, Jesse Roger Porter and Richard Dwight Porter.
He is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Johnnie and Audie Wellman of Morrison, TN, Jo Whiteaker of Morrison, TN, Susie Grissom of McMinnville, and Faye and Brian Bonner of McCalla, AL; brother, Donnie Ray Porter of Morrison, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
An inurnment will be held in Shady Grove Cemetery at a later date with family only. There will be no visitation or service at High's.
