Julius was the son of Gottfried and Augusta Franke. He was born in Garfield Twp, Grand Traverse County, Michigan. On June 2, 1903 he was married to Anna May Homrich at the St. Francis Church in Traverse City, Michigan. He died in Kansas City Missouri of smallpox after living in Michigan, Ohio and Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was predeceased by his mother Augusta Franke in 1898, and a daughter Bessie Frankie in 1912. His father Gottfried died in 1941.
Franke and Frankie are correct spellings.
