BILLY WILSON “BILL” KENNEDY, AGE 74

And a resident of the Stateline Community died early Friday morning April 26, 2019 at his home. He was retired after a career of 30 years as a meat inspection supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. Bill was a former member of the Louisiana National Guard and a current member of Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church. He always enjoyed fishing and camping. His favorite pastime was working on old muscle cars and he had many through the years, including his favorite ’69 Cutlass and his current ’65 Impala Super Sport.

Wife of 50 years: Janice Williams Kennedy of Stateline

Son and Daughter in law: Billy Matthew Kennedy and Juliana Kennedy of Stateline

Daughter and Son in law: Gwendolen Kennedy Magee and Dewayne Magee of Stateline

5 Grandchildren: Patrick Dewayne Magee,
Zachary Scott Davis,
Andrew Gavin Magee,
Ryan Jacob Magee,
Lucas Rodrigues

Brother and Sister in law: Charles and Judy Kennedy of Stateline

Sister and Brother in law: Linda and Donald Paxton of Watson, LA

Also numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents D. Ray Kennedy and Vera Crain Kennedy and father in law and mother in law Otha and Audrey Williams.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday April 29th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Eld. Richard Magee, Rev. Patrick Magee and Eld. Edward Penton officiating. Burial will follow in the Kennedy Family Cemetery in Stateline.
