Ray Kubale, 74, Luxemburg, died Monday evening at a Green Bay hospital.
He was born May 17, 1907 in the Town of Rockland to the late Frank and Mary (Menlick) Kubale.
On Apr. 19, 1932, he married Edna Peik at St. Mary Church, Reedsville.
Mr. Kubale owned and operated a cheese factory in the Town of Rockland for 20 years and later owned and operated a tavern and restaurant in Luxemburg for 241/2 years until his retirement seven years ago. He was a member of the Manitowoc Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Kubale served over 50 years as a Sheriff's Deputy in Manitowoc and Kewaunee Counties. Mr. Kubale was also a member of St. Josephs Society of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Darrell Cravillion, Luxemburg; Sharon and Michael ScanIan, Green Bay; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Ottelien and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Wachel, both of Reedsville; one brother, Earl, Indianapolis, Ind.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Wimmer, and one brother, Clarence, both of Reedsville.
Friends may call at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Wake service 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, with the Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
