SOUTH BEND - Earl A. Kubale, 95, passed away at home on July 7, 2017. He was born at home in Reedsville, WI to the late Frank J. Kubale and Mary Manlick Kubale. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Earl graduated from Reedsville High School, the University of Wisconsin, and the National Boy Scouts Training School. He was then employed in the professional services of the Boy Scouts of America for 36 years, serving as Scout Executive for Northern Indiana Council and was active in Order of the Arrow until he retired in 1985.

Earl married Phyllis Rolland at St. Mary's Church in Reedsville, and celebrated 67 years of marriage. Surviving is his wife Phyllis, 3 daughters, Elizabeth (Don) Herman of West Bend, WI, Pamela Kubale of Menasha, WI and Nancy (Russell) Kubale-Wicker of Rutherford, NC, along with 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Earl was a WWII veteran, First Lieutenant Air Force pilot with 52 missions in the European Theater. He was most grateful that he brought his crew of 9 family men home safely after each mission.

Earl was a member of St. Matthew's Cathedral, loved his religion and his family. Earl was a quiet and gentle man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at St. Matthew's Cathedral. Visitation at the church will be from 10:00 until the start of Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Reedsville, WI.
