Michael Clay Warner went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2019. He was born on March 3, 1941 in Purcell, Oklahoma to John Davis Warner and Stella Thompson Warner.
After graduation from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1959, Michael enlisted in the Air Force in 1960 where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He worked as a radar operator until he was honorably discharged in 1963 having received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Mike had a long career in sales, finally retiring in 2015 from Dillard's after 23 years of service.
Mike was very artistic and enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts hobbies including painting, drawing, calligraphy, miniature architectural creations and many other art forms. He enjoyed listening to music especially rock and roll and jazz and he also liked to play the guitar.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings John D. Warner, Jr., Doris E. LoPresto, Mona J. Brodnan, and Angeline G. Warner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Barbara; son James and Mary Warner; son Patrick and Linda Warner; daughter Terri and Dale Hacker; daughter Sherri Jensen; son Jerry and Jean Kindred; brother Paul Warner; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice, especially nurse Wendi for her care and compassion of Michael.
Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 with family visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141 with burial to follow military honors rendered by a U.S. Air Force Honors Detail at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
