Mrs. Verna Pearl, 69, Canton, died Friday, Nov. 26, in Lewis County Nursing Home near Canton.
Verna M. Pearl was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Lewis County, the daughter of James and Emma Zerull Bader. She married Robert Pearl on Aug. 25, 1932, in St. Patrick. He died June 23, 1974. Mrs. Pearl was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Patrick and the Daughters of Isabelle.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Pearl and Leo Pearl, both of Canton; two daughters, Mrs. Michael McFadden of Canton and Mrs. Paul Booker of Rock Island; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Brennan of Williamstown and Mrs. Russell McDermott of Canton; 13 grandchildren; and other relatives. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Shrine of St. Patrick Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Kaimann and the Rev. James Wheeler. Music was furnished by the St. Patrick Mens Choir and Mrs. Kenneth Krueger at the organ.
Pall bearers were Roy Booker, Chris Pearl, Jim Lefringhouse, Heath McFadden, Greg Pearl and Ed Lefringhouse. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery.
A prayer service was held Sunday evening at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton.
Servers were Brian Pearl, Kenneth Krueger Jr., and Shawn Richmond.
