Mr. Hughes was born in Horry County, a son of the late Clarence C. and Hattie F. Hughes. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Twin City Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lebron Crisp officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.
