Funeral services have been held for former Cathedral City resident Gertrude White, 90, who died Jan 8 at Monrovia Community Hospital. She was a native of Arkansas She had been a Cathedral City resident for 39 years.
Mrs. White is survived by two daughters. Myrtle Mallard of El Cajon. Calif., and Verlie McGowan of Calico Rock, Ark.; two sons, Howard White of Thermal and James Alvin White of San Bernardino; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and by two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Hollis White.
Services were held at Wiefels and Son Mortuary Chapel in Palm Springs.
Interment was at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.
