James White Funeral Rites This Morning
CATHEDRAL CITY - Funeral services for James Homer White, 86, were conducted this morning in Wiefels and Son Palm Springs Chapel. He died Monday in Rancho Mirage, following an apparent heart attack while at work.
A native of Arkansas. White had been a resident of Cathedral City for 17 years and made his home at 601 2nd St. He was manager of Costello Ranch in Rancho Mirage.
He is survived by his widow, Gertrude White of Cathedral City; three sons, Hollis White of Rancho Mirage, Howard White of Indio and Alvin White of San Bernardino; two daughters, Myrtle Largent of Redlands and Verlia McGowan of Palm Springs; one brother, Ray White of Mountain View. Ark.: and one sister, Alice Fulks of Michigan.
The Rev. C. R. Riley, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, conducted the services. Interment was in Desert Memorial Park.
