Mafia associate. Krugman was an associate of Henry Hill and Jimmy Burke. He was portrayed in the movie "Goodfellas" by Chuck Low as "Morrie Kessler." According to Hill, it was Krugman who first proposed the idea of the Lufthansa heist to Burke; as a bookmaker, Krugman had received information about the incoming cash shipment and advice on how to steal it from an airport employee who was in debt to him. He disappeared in January 1979 shortly after the heist; when Hill became an FBI informant, he testified that Krugman was killed by Jimmy Burke on the day he disappeared at Robert's Lounge, a bar in Queens, and allegedly buried in the yard behind the bar. His body was never recovered, and he was declared legally dead in 1986.
