Mrs. Joanne V. Wood, age 90, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Hume Home. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Lansing, MI to Anton and Lottie Mae (Thornton) Kohlbeck, and moved to Muskegon at a young age. Joanne retired from Muskegon Bank and Trust in 1960. She enjoyed genealogy, knitting, gardening, cooking and sewing throughout the years, but most of all black coffee and especially her great grandchildren. On May 31, 1947 she married Wallace "Wally" Wood, and enjoyed 69 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death on December 29, 2016.

SURVIVORS include two children, Roger (Linda) Wood and Janet Wood; two grandchildren, Krystal Foster and Sarah (Andrew) Conklin; and five great grandchildren, Caleb, Skyler, Mckenzie, Colt and Carter.

A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be Thursday, April 25 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at The Lee Chapel Family Center, 6291 S. Harvey St.
