Anna Garr Helphinstine Singleton, age 80, passed away April 19, 2019, of complications due to dementia. She was born August 9, 1938, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, to the late B.A. and Mary Baty Helphinstine.

Anna and her husband, Donald Gus Singleton, lived in the Cincinnati area from 1963 to 2007 before returning home to Maysville. They were married in August 1957 and were blessed with four daughters, Patty (Tom) Swango, of Cincinnati, Cindy Rogers, of Indianapolis, Jane (Mike) Zehnder, of Cincinnati, and Mary Jo (Allen) Taylor, of Williamsburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Carrie, Joey, Ben, Sarah, Jason, Ashlie, Chris, Donald and Debbie; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Helphinstine, of Michigan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: three brothers, Everett Helphinstine, Bobby Helphinstine and Danny Ray Helphinstine; and seven sisters, Effie Pearl Helphinstine, Juanita Joyce Helphinstine, Geneva Kitchen, Crecia Poynter, Margaret Freeland, Jessie Holland and Betty Jo Lattire.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Brell and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
