Helen Maxine Evans, 87, of Maysville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, in Maysville. She was born February 13, 1932, to the late Allen and Emma Flannigan Thacker. She had worked as a cook for Brown’s Restaurant, in Aberdeen, Ohio.

Survivors include: her children, Eugene (Nokia) Gallagher, of Lewisburg, Kathy (John) Hesler, of Dover, Larry (Pam) Evans, of Maysville, Charles (Glenda) Evans, of Maysville, Penny (Dale) Dalton, of Fleming County, Tammy (Noble) Story, of Aberdeen, Tony (Paula) Evans, of Maysville, Mark (Lisa) Evans, of Maysville, and Tina Gastineau, of Dover; a brother, Joseph Thacker, of Maysville; a sister, Betty (Willie) Arp, of Moscow; 34 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her first husband, Eugene Clinton Gallagher; her second husband, Charles Evans, Sr.; grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Charles Evans, II, Trent Evans, Vincent Dalton and Bradley Miller; sisters, Iva Dodson, Ida Evans and Beulah Wallingford; and brothers, Russell Thacker, Adrian Thacker, James Thacker, Eugene Thacker and George Thacker.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Brell and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. John Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
