Todd Jeffrey Hassman was born on December 21, 1960 in Burlington, Iowa to Daryl and Ruth (Johannes) Hassman.

Todd was raised in Knoxville, Iowa and graduated with the Class of 1979. In 2011, he graduated from Indian Hills Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. He worked for Charles Levy Co. and most recently as a driver for FedEx.

One of Todd’s biggest passions was music. During high school, he played trumpet in the school band. He played guitar in a band with his good friends for many years. He also loved gardening, mushroom hunting, and being outdoors.

Todd will be remembered for his great sense of humor and kind heart. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Daryl and Ruth Hassman, several aunts and uncles, and a cousin, Debra Jean Harrison.

Those left to cherish Todd’s memory include his sister Becky Flanagan and her husband Jerry Flanagan, his nephew Mason Flanagan, niece Haley Flanagan, and many other dear family members and friends.

A Funeral Service for Todd Hassman, age 58 of Albia, will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
