92 year old Donald Ray Sonner of Liberty died Sunday at St. Thomas West, Nashville.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Smithville.
Don joined the Navy at the age of 17 where he retired with 23 years service.
After his retirement, he opened Sonner Real Estate in Smithville where he was the Owner/Broker for 45 years.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
Dan Clayton will officiate and burial will be in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Harrison Sonner and Elsie Bottles.

His wife of 65 years, Nola Sonner. Mr. Sonner is survived by a daughter Patricia Jane "Patty Jane" Sonner-Leftwich Madison of Texas from his first marriage.
Children Donna Sonner and Donald Ray Sonner, Jr. A sister, Rowena Jean Brunner. Cousin, Norma and Ted Cotner and several nieces and nephews.
Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
