Alberta was born December 7, 1922, to Oscar and Blanche Schubert of Bonner Springs, KS. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1941 and married Charles Laughery Jr. that year. They farmed near Rantoul, KS. for ten years before returning to Wyandotte Co where Alberta worked for Pyramid Life Insurance and Crown Zellerbach Paper Company.
Following Charles Laughery's death in 1960, Alberta married Robert Corbin in 1967, and moved to Raytown, MO. After retirement they lived at Laurie, MO. before settling near Ottawa, KS. for twenty-five years. The past three years, they resided at Cedar Lake Village in Olathe, KS.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, both spouses, and an infant son. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Bradbury; daughter, Bobbie Dall(Bob); two stepsons, Bruce Corbin(Erin) of Topeka, and Gary Corbin(Sherrie) of Indianapolis, IN., 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Martin Schermoly and his staff for their years of caring for Alberta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the therapy garden being planned at Good Samaritan Care Center at 20705 W. 151 St, Olathe, KS 66061.
Alberta was always there for her family and friends who were blessed to have her with us so many years. She will be in our hearts forever.
