JoAnn Palmer, 72, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on April 3, 2019.

A memorial service will begin at 9:00AM, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri. A visitation will follow the service until 11:00AM.

JoAnn Palmer was born on July 15, 1946 in Chariton, Iowa to Leland and Maxine Davis Palmer. She was the youngest of three children. JoAnn was very close to her brothers and their families and loved spending time with them.

She graduated from Chariton High School in 1964. She worked in various fields including information technology, telecommunications, counseling and monitoring children on the school bus.

She was proud to own a farm in Iowa with her cousins and enjoyed spending time there as well.

JoAnn had a love for learning and made a decision to go back to college in her 60’s. She earned a bachelor degree from University of Saint Mary in May of 2009.

JoAnn was full of life and loved being involved in many activities. She traveled, went on cruises and had many adventures with her friends and family.

JoAnn enjoyed helping others most of all. With her wisdom and love- she greatly impacted so many, many lives. She always made people a priority and was dearly loved and cherished by her friends and family. It is remarkable how many lives she has changed for the better. Jo Ann wanted everyone to know how much she loved them.

She will be greatly missed by all.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Maxine Palmer of Chariton, Iowa and her brother Dwaine Palmer.

JoAnn is survived by her brother Carl and wife Kathy and sister-in-law, Marita Palmer, her nieces and nephews, Michelle, Becky, Dusty, Ty, Nicole, Joshua, Hezekiah, Brenham, Morghan, Griffin, and Devyn.
