Born on May 26, 1953 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Alfred L. and Laura B. (Nickels) Boatman.
He worked for the Woodlawn Center for many years.
David was a long-time member of Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church. David was a people person who enjoyed making friends and meeting new people. He had a passion for music. David enjoyed singing at his church, he also enjoyed dancing.
Surviving are one brother and two nephews.
A funeral service celebrating the life of David Boatman will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 1 PM.
Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of the service in the funeral chapel.
