Lisa was born October 20, 1984 in Fairfax, VA to John and Lynn Jones.
She lived in Fairfax for the majority of her life, until she “moved south” to Woodbridge for a time when purchasing a home with her husband, Ashley, and her son, Ethan.
She is survived by her husband, Ashley Douglas, her son, Ethan Douglas, her mother, Lynn Jones, sisters, Jennifer and Cathy Jones, her brother, Eric Jones, and her niece and nephew, Maia and Aiden.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, John Jones, her grandfather, Charles B. Chase and Uncle Thomas.
She worked for many years at the Occoquan Regional Park, a job that she enjoyed because it gave her the opportunity to be outside, where she preferred to be. Two of Lisa’s favorite things were sunflowers and butterflies … maybe representing a free spirit to Lisa, which she was. She could be so goofy at the drop of a hat and make everyone around her smile and laugh. She was a beautiful young lady who was generous, caring, funny, helpful – she helped her family and friends when they needed her – and most of all, her world was her son, Ethan, whom she adored.
Lisa was here for too short of a time. Those who knew her best knew the good person she was inside. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow and be held at the Fairfax Memorial Park.
