Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 10 in the J. R. Shulenberger funeral home, Carlisle, for Lawson C. Adams, 114 South Bedford St., who died early Friday morning at the Carlisle hospital. Rev. Simpson B. Daughterty officiated and burial was made in Otterbein church cemetery, Newburg, R.R.1. The Masonic Lodge conducted rites Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Born in Carlisle 54 years ago, Mr. Adams was the son of Ira Adams and the late Mrs. Ella McCoy Adams. He was employed as a weaver at the Carlisle Ribbon Mills. Mr. Adams was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren church and the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday school. He was a member of Cumberland Star Lodge 197, F and A M, Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In addition to his father, his survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Maude E. Farner Adams; a daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Bosler, Carlisle; three brothers, Earl, Glenn and Harry Adams, all of Carlisle; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Nickel, Carlisle R.R.4, and Mrs. Pearl Zeigler, Chambersburg.
