With her husband, Riley Clem, she came to Nebraska in 1880 and had been made this her home. Her husband preceded her in death.
Her name before marriage was Mary Adams and she was born July 22, 1852, in Anderson, Madison county, Ind. In October 1837 (sic), she was married to Riley Clem. Five children were born to them of whom two survive, Mrs. Lottie Peterson of Highmore, So. Dakota and Ed Clem living east of Fairbury.
Funeral services were held at the family home Thursday, April 19, and burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
