Brian Lawrence Johnston, 64, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born on July 9, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Lawrence and Maxine (McCallum) Johnston.

Brian was a 1972 graduate of Newtown High School in New York. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973-1977 as a Mortar Man and Marksmanship Instructor and also served in the New York State Guard from 1986-1987. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from The University of the State of New York. Brian had a career as programmer for many years for a variety of companies and consulting firms. He enjoyed music and played the stand-up bass in local bands over the years, where he was known as Tex Tracy and later Franchot Johnston. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to so many. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Jane Johnston. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Jeanne (Grode) Johnston; and sons, Jesse Johnston of Dallas and Luke Johnston of Eugene, Oregon.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in The Village of Port Edwards Cemetery in Port Edwards, Wisconsin. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
