John M Erwin, age 61, passed away at 1:15 am, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO following an illness.
John was born February 1, 1958 in Columbus, KS. His parents were Halley and Geraldine (Zimmerman) Brown. He had lived most of his life in Hallowell,
He graduated from Columbus High School with the class of 1976. He was a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church, Oswego, KS. He worked over 30 years for Toby’s Amusements, traveling throughout the area.
John was married to Ann George n October 13, 1979 in Oswego, KS. She survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Jeremy Erwin (fiancé, Miranda), Brookfield, MO;one daughter, Michelle Erwin, Hallowell; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm, Friday, April 12, 2019 at McKee Cemetery, Columbus, KS. Pastor Roger Daniels will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family offset expenses.
