Kenny was born August 24, 1949 and was raised as a young boy in Marshall, AR to Martha Byrd. He was an only child. He grew up with the love of his grandparents as they all shared a home together. Kenny, sometimes called Eugene by some, always talked about his time with his grandmother. He loved going back to AR for visits through the years.
Kenny Married Desiree Ann Holden Byrd on Sept 8, 1973. They have been married for 45 years, what a legacy they shared together. The two of them renewed their wedding vows last anniversary. She survives at the home, his sons Patrick Holden of Wann, OK.,Brad Byrd Sr. and Kenneth Byrd Jr. of Parsons, KS; He was honored and blessed to have numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and treasured friends. Kenny has lived in several states and in 2000 he moved to Wann, OK and resided there until his death with his wife Desiree Byrd.
Kenny worked most of his life as a truck driver, it really was his passion, if we could all do what we really loved doing, like him. He did work as a pumper in the oil fields. Kenny attended church in Dearing, Kansas at the First Southern Baptist Church and prided himself on being a Sunday School Teacher and delivered sermons himself sometimes when needed. Kenny attended church with his wife at the Independent Bible Holiness Church. He also attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for a while. He had a love for God and his family.
Kenny was preceded in death by his mother Martha Byrd and his grandparents.
