Services for 101-year-old Sidney Loman, a veteran of Boy Scout work and holder of the Silver Beaver, Scouting's highest award, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Logan Temple, African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. The death of Mr. Loman, a Texas native who had lived in the San Diego area for 51 years, was announced earlier.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and had participated in many lines of work including contracting. He was last employed as a truck driver. He also served as a reserve police officer with the San Diego PD from 04/01/1952 - 03/30/1960.
Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum.
