Juel J. Burton
  Juel J. Burton passed away April 1, 2019 after a valiant battle following a massive stroke 4 years ago. He was born March 2, 1926 in Bountiful, Utah. Juel was the 5th of 8 children born to Ira J. and Alice Hatch Burton.
  His family moved from the family home in Park Valley, Utah to West Jordan, Utah when he was 3 years old. He grew up on a small farm in West Jordan and attended Jordan High School. He married Geraldine Oliver in May 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in World War II in the US Army from 1944-1946. His service took him from France to Germany and then to the Philippines. He returned home and went to work to provide for his growing family. He worked in the train yards as an inspector for the Rio Grande Railroad and Kennecott Copper Corporation. After his retirement, Juel and Geri moved to warmer climates; living in both St. George, Utah and Harlingen, Texas. Juel was an active, devoted, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter¬ day Saints. He served in many callings throughout his life.
  He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Geri, his parents, brothers; Junius, Devon, Nolan, Elden, Gerald, and sister Roma, son-in-law, Bryce Loveless and daughter-in-law, Stacy Burton. He is survived by his sons; Roger (Vicky), Blair, James (Shauna), David (Angela) Burton and daughters; Sandra (Duane) Loveless, Darlene Loveless, Brenda (Steven) Shields, Juelene (Jay) Smith and sister, Alice (Boyd) Anderson. Juel and Geri leave behind a large posterity of over 100 grand-children and great¬grandchildren.
  The family would like to thank the staff at The Retreat at Sunriver in St. George for the kind services rendered to our father.
  Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11 am with a viewing prior to the service from 9-11 am at Redwood Road Memorial Estates 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Burial in Redwood Road Memorial Estates Cemetery.
