Born in Cushing, Ok on December 29, 1942, he lived most of his life in Broken Arrow. A lumberman his entire career, Jerry retired from Mill Creek Lumber in 2007 as the Vice President and operations manager.
Jerry enjoyed his time with family and friends, OU football and his annual Fourth of July extravaganza.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; his son Mike Hixon; his son Robbie Hixon and wife Tracey; his brother Ken Hixon and wife Marge and many beloved grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Lena Hixon; his daughter Kimberly Hixon; his grandson Michael Hixon and six sisters and three brothers.
Services are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, Ok.
