June was raised and attended school in Hobart, and married her husband of 50 years, Max, in 1940. June was an active member of the Weatherford First United Methodist Church, where she served as the President of the WSCS. She enjoyed her work with the Girl Scouts of America, her position as the City Clerk, and her tenure as an owner of the local Toot-N-Tell grocery. She loved her time with family and friends, and had a special connection with her many animal friends.
June is survived by one daughter, Maxine Simpson, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Lee, her son James, her parents and five siblings.
