Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Billy Cashwell and Rev. Timmy Blair. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was born July 30, 1921 in Johnston County to the late Caswell and Tabitha Lambert Benson. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Shelton Lee Hargis and Robert Preston Parker; a son, Ronnie Hargis; sisters, Mina Poole, Mozelle German, and Mildred Memory; and brothers, Burleigh Benson and Laverne Benson. She was a homemaker and a member of Benson Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Melody Stephenson and Margie McLamb, both of Benson; son, Kenneth Hargis and wife, Ann, of Angier; brother, Durwood Benson of Angier; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wayne Stephenson, Melissa McLamb Powell & husband, Brent, Justin Dean McLamb & wife, Anna, and Matthew Dustin McLamb; and great granddaughters, Alexa Stephenson and Callie McLamb.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, December 9, 2014, and other times at the home of Melody Stephenson, 417 Aquilla Road, Benson, NC.
