Dorothy Elizabeth “Betty” Webb, 76, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on March 29, 2019, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Oxford, Ohio on December 26, 1942 to Joseph “Haywood” Owens and Eva (Brinegar) Owens.

Betty was a beautiful, classy lady with heart of gold. She was loved and admired by everyone who met her. Especially those in Oxford, Ohio, where she was born and raised and worked for 50 years between Miami University, Oxford IGA and United Dairy Farmers and her special friends in Somerville, Ohio, where she resided most of her life.

Betty married Herman “Shag” Webb in 1963 and they resided in Somerville, Ohio for 49 years until Shag’s death in 2012.
Betty leaves behind three children that she devoted her entire life to: Leanne (Ron) George, of Somerville, Ohio, Denise “Dee Dee” (Eddy) Bruns, of Hamilton, Ohio and Steven Webb of Hamilton, Ohio. Betty also leaves behind 5 cherished grandchildren: Mason Roberts, Jennifer (Jason) Arcuragi, Larken (Samantha) Davidson, Jessica Bruns and Cassidy Bruns. 8 great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Joslynn, and Jaelynn Arcuragi; Skylar, Gunnar, Raelynn, and Daniel Roberts and Ashton Merida . Betty leaves behind two brothers: John (Butch) Owens and his wife Patti and Ralph (Buster) Owens and his wife Shelley.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Eva Jo (Tim) Casey, nephew Joseph Owens and by two infant sons: David Charles Webb and Gary Duane Webb. Betty loved to spend time with family and dance the jitterbug with Shag and her Somerville friends at the Middletown Moose and Eagles. She loved to Go camping with her friends at Kozy Kampground and especially spend time with her beloved friends at Somerville Community Church.

A visitation will be held at Somerville Community Church on Monday, April 1, 2019, from 6-8 PM with funeral services held at the church on Tuesday, April 2, beginning at 12PM with graveside services at the Somerville Cemetery followed by a fellowship lunch in the church annex.

The family would like to thank their Somerville Community Church family for all of their prayers and support, Hospice of Hamilton and Dr. Jennifer Winters for their amazing care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Somerville Community Church, Hospice of Hamilton or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.
