Celia received her Associate's degree from Solano Community College in English with honors and Social Services with honors and went on to serve as a guidance counselor at Juvenile Hall in Solano County, Contra Costa County and Napa County.
She is survived by her children, Carla Achille of Los Angeles, California (children: John Jr., Satiya, and Rodney Jr.), Christine Crawford of Las Vegas, Nevada (children: Chinere, Sharon and Angelique), Arthur Crawford Jr. and wife Angelique of Fairfield, California (children: Currie Ann and Monique), Marcia Crawford of Fairfield, California (child: Jonae) and Heather Jackson and husband Keith of Fairfield, California (children: Marqueal, Nigel, Taylor and Bailey); she also leaves behind many great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Celia was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arthur R. Crawford Sr.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1405 Kentucky St., Fairfield. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
