I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

CHORUS:
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

Go Rest High on that Mountain- Vince Gill

I know your life
on earth was troubled
and only you could know the pain.
You weren't afraid to face the devil,
you were no stranger to the rain.

(CHORUS)
Go rest high on that mountain
son, your work on earth is done.
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
love for the Father and the Son.

Oh,how we cried the day you left us
we gathered round your grave to grieve.
I wish i could see the angels faces
when they hear your sweet voice sing.

REPEAT CHORUS

FOLLOWING IS A LETTER FROM A CHILDHOOD FRIEND TO HEATH'S MOTHER

Today I lost a friend. I have not had any contact with Heath in probably 12 years but I was comforted by the fact that he was still here, with us and only a phone call or email away. Heath's memory warms my heart and strengthens my soul.
I am who I am today because of the childhood I spent with Heath. When I think of Tomball, I think of Heath and when I think of Heath, I think of two skinny little boys riding our bikes or playing in the pond (YES, I AM A GIRL, but I sure didn't look like one growing up. Mine and Heath's hair were the same length and we never wore shirts...... or shoes for that matter.)
Heath had a huge poster of the cockpit of a jet hanging at his headboard. We stood on heath's pillows and played like we were flying for hours on end. Heath and his poster are most likely the reason I moved to Alabama to become a helicopter pilot.
I am a Grand Champion Barrel racer here in South Alabama. Yep, Heath is responsible for that too. Well, his little white pony, Happy is responsible.
The things that I do with my kids today are the things that I learned with Heath. We hunt for bugs, we build forts, we take walks in the woods, we go on picnics, we dig for crawfish, and we hunt for frogs. When Heath and I were little, we caught huge bullfrogs from the pond and put them in Nancy's bathtub. There was one that was blind in one eye. His name was "Bluebeard". We could put 13 frogs in the bathtub, easily every night. When we were done, we'd put them all back just so we could catch them the next night. I have one boy and one girl and they are as close in age as Heath and I were. Heath and I were the same age two months out of every year and my children are the same age for a week in August. They remind me so much of the way we acted and the things we did.
There is a picture of me that is my favorite picture ever taken. I am laying on my back in my Mother's kitchen on that old brown carpet talking on the phone. I had on a pair of cut off Bluejeans and no shirt or shoes. The phone cord was wrapped in my toes. I could only have been 4 or 5. Obviously it was Heath on the other end; even though we only lived less than a 1/4 mile apart, we spent a lot of time talking on the phone. We'd say, "As soon as we hang up, start running and let's see who beats to the corner". The loser always had to do something stupid.
Heath and I were members of a youth group called AWANAS at the Tomball Bible Church. Most times, Heath wouldn't go because the T.V. show, The Greatest American Hero was also on Wednesday nights.
I remember Heath's little black poodle named Scooby-Doo. Scooby hated us. He'd growl and chase us and act like he was going to bite us. We always egged him on and it made Nancy so mad.
Every Easter Nancy bought three baby chickens for Heath, Dane and Tanya. They were always died pretty Easter colors and they lived in a bird cage in the kitchen until they were big enough to go outside. I remember one grew into a rooster named Chicky Ricky. He was as mean as he was big.
COMPUTERS!!!! How can you mention Heath without mentioning computers? I ran to Heath's house every morning before school and we'd play Centipede or Dungeons and Dragons on the computer before the bus ran.
There was a huge Oak tree in the front yard that had a rope swing on it. We pulled eachother on that swing sometimes so high I swore we were going to Heaven. That tree got sick and Nancy and Dale did everything they could to make it well. I remember how sad I was that the tree was sick.
We went to the Lake sometimes on Dale's sail Boat and we lay under the stars holding hands. There are two stars that we named together. I don't know the real name for those particular stars, but when the moon is at it's highest and brightest I look for them. They are always together, not far from the moon. We named the closest one to the moon Davidonium for Heath's First name and the second one from the moon Darlenionium for my Middle name. Those stars have always meant so much to me and they'll mean so much more now.
Heath was the only friend I had growing up and he was the first boyfriend I ever had. I didn't think there was anything that could separate us. But time did and growing up did. We were separated by space and time but we were always held together by our friendship and our Love.
During this Celebration of Heath's life, I celebrate the childhood memories that Heath gave me. They were the happiest times of my life. We lived life to it's fullest and we Loved everything about the Earth and Nature and we Loved each other.
