Mr. Kirsch was a life resident of Mattydale. He was president of Kirsch Dairy Inc. and carried on the Kirsch Farms family business until 1968. He retired from the former Merchants National Bank.
Mr. Kirsch was a communicant and trustee of St. Margaret's Parish in Mattydale. He also served on St. Margaret's New Church Task Force and was a member of St. Margaret's Hoiy Name Society.
His parents donated the land for the original St. Margaret's Church.
His wife, the former Marion Ragan, died earlier.
Surviving are three daughters, Sister Sara Kirsch, CSJ, of Albany, Mary K. Stine of Orlando, Fla., and Martha K. Roberts of Burlington, Mass.; two sons, John P. and Daniel A., both of Syracuse; two sisters, Ann K. Werner and Claire Turo, both of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Margaret's Church.
Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in St. Margaret's Church. The rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the church.
