Frank Marshall Morgan

Frank died Wednesday, March 6th 2019 at Elim Park, Cheshire, CT at the end of a wonderful life.
Born in Brooklyn NY to the late Jeanette and Clinton Morgan and is pre-deceased by his sister Margaret James.
He attended Erasmus Hall, Brooklyn NY and Union College, Schenectady NY where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology. At Union College, he was a proud member of the fraternity, Delta Upsilon. Post-graduate studies were taken at the University of Bridgeport and for his enjoyment he attended a few courses at Trinity School for Ministry with his son Daniel.

He served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army as an investigator in Counter Intelligence. He was employed by Uniroyal Chemical Company for over 38 years carrying the title and responsibility of East Coast Representative for Technical Sales (Naugatuck CT), Automotive Market Development Specialist (Detroit, MI), East Coast District Sales Manager, Venture Business Manager, EPDM Rubber Business Manager, Worldwide Purchasing Manager, and retired in 1992

Frank enjoyed golf, sailing, singing in the Waterbury Chorale, Barbershop Quartet with the Elim Park Harmonizers. He was a member of the King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge in Woodbury, CT.
His love of fishing brought him to New Brunswick, Canada; Yellowstone Park, Wyoming; Long Beach Island, New York; Narragansett, RI; Countless trips in Long Island Sound; all accompanied by friends, children and grandchildren.
He volunteered on the Southbury Zoning and Planning Commission, served many years on the Vestry of St. Paul’s Church, served the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut’s Bishop’s Council, volunteered for Woodbury Scout Troop 480 and volunteer services at Elim Park.

He is the beloved husband of 63 years to Mildred L. Morgan and loving father to five children; Frank, Margaret, Jean, Robert and Daniel. Frank was blessed with 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 294 Main Street South, Woodbury, CT. 06798 on March 16th 2019 at 11am. Following the service all are invited to a reception to follow at the Woodbury Firehouse on Orenaug Road, Woodbury CT. 06798
A memorial celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Nelson Hall, Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, CT. 06410, on April 27th at 11am with a reception to follow.

Frank maintained a joyful spirit and a sense of humor to the end. Some of Frank’s final words illustrated the richness of his faith when he remarked that he was ready for his next home in Heaven.
