Mrs. Marilyn Ann Dowdy, age 45 of Kennard, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at her residence in Kennard. Mrs. Dowdy was born June 12, 1961 in Webb City, Missouri and had lived in Kennard for the past 9 years. Mrs. Dowdy was a housewife and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Leonard Ray Dowdy, of Kennard; children Brandy Crackenberger and husband Doug, of Ratcliff, Kenneth Dowdy and wife Kristi, of Crockett; grandchildren Jory, Megan, Laine, Joey, Colton and Alyssa; mother Mary A. Garrett, of S.C.; father Albert "Buddy" Bass, of Carlsbad, N.M.; sisters Nancy Bass, of N.M., Tina White, of S.C.; brother Danny Bass and wife Katherine, of N.M.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Marilyn Ann Dowdy were held Monday, March 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Hollis officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
