Mrs. Barbara Jean Carter age 78 of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday, March 24, 2019, at St. Thomas River Park Hospital. She was born May 05, 1940, in Campaign, TN, was a daycare provider at North Hills Day Care, a homemaker, and member of North Hills Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by parents Arthur Gennette and Mona Fisher Hale, husband of 56 years Bill Carter, grandchild Baby Carter, and sisters-in-law Janice Adams and Barbara Collins.
Survivors include her children Tina (Mike) Byars, Aric (Lisa) Carter, Tonia Rader, Derrick (Kim) Carter, and Misty (Andrew) Gross, 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister Sharon Hale, special "parents" Faye and Paul Wakley, and sister-in-law Joanne (Jim) Reynolds. Other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Michael Harris will officiate.
Interment will follow at Over On The Hill Cemetery in Campaign, TN. T
