Obituary:
Heflin - Laura Lea Bryant Spears, 79, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at her residence.

Laura was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. Laura loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved her church.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, John Spears.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny L. (Angie) Spears, Heflin, AL; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Annette (Jerry) Vice, Oxford, AL, and Claudette Whatley, Heflin, AL; two brothers, Bill Bryant and Tony Bryant, both of Heflin, AL; a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer (Thomas) Cathey, Jacksonville, AL; and six great grandchildren, Jalen Spears, Lily & Cayden McDonald, and Savannah, Emily, Tyler, & Judson Cathey

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2019, at Happy Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Brown officiating.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Bryant, Terry Guyer, Rodney Vice, Mark Vice, Wayne Vice, Jeremy Bryant, Tommy Cathey, and Eddie Whatley.

Burial will follow in Happy Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
