She was born in Teaneck and
lived in Pennsylvania before mov-
ing to East Brunswick (NJ) in 1964.

She graduated from Douglass
College at Rutgers University in
1955, later attending the University
of California, Los Angeles for ad-
vanced studies in botany. She was
active in the Doglass Alumnae
Class of 1955.

She was a statistician for John-
son & Johnson, New Brunswick,
for 10 years until her retirement.

She worked for the Girl Scouts,
Penn Laurel Council.

She taught swimming at the
YWCA in East Brunswick. She also
taught basic sailing skills at East
ern Shore Small Craft Institute for
25 years.

She was a member of Trinity
Presbyterican Church, East Bruns-
wick.

Surviving are her husband Law-
rence; a daughter, Karen Diane Paf-
fendorf of East Brunswick; a sister,
Patricia Lauber of Seaside Partk;
and a brother Edwin F. Hearn of
Cherry Hill.

Services will be held at 8:30pm,
Monday at Rezem Funeral Home,
457 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick.
Cremation will be private.
