Marlin Larry Nester left for home February 10, 2007 to be reunited with his wife Beverly, who preceded him eight months before. Marlin and Beverly were married September 22, 1953 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Marlin will also be greeted by his parents and all seven of his brothers and sisters, as well as a host of friends and family who have gone before. He was born January 10, 1931 in Grace, Idaho. Marlin is a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Navy; he served aboard the USS Rodgers. Marlin and Beverly leave behind their children Julie Nester, Mike and Charlene Nester, Rich and Janet Stanfield as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Marlin retired from Associated Foods after 27 years of service. He had also been a barber and a concrete pipe maker. Marlin liked history and reading but his hobby of gardening brought joy to all in the form of his beautiful roses. Above all Marlin was a devoted husband and wonderful father. Graveside services will be held at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. on February 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.
