Survivors include his wife, Katie Burleson of Clarksdale; a daughter, Jennifer Burleson of Clarksdale; two sons, Carl Anthony Burleson of Clarksdale and Mark Wayne Burleson of Memphis; eight sisters, Alice Faye Burleson, Elizabeth Burleson, Charlene Burleson, Edna Burleson and Charlotte Burleson, all of Terry, Maxine Lee of New Orleans, Patsy Jones of Slidell, La., and Bobbie McNair of Hazlehurst; and seven brothers, Buddy Burleson of Terry, Tommy Burleson of Jackson, Bill Burleson of Crystal Springs, Clint Burleson of Belzoni, Jack Burleson of Greenwood, Jerry Burleson of Oklahoma and Sammy Burleson of Louisiana.
