Jon was a lifelong resident of Keytesville. He was a 1990 graduate of Keytesville High School and was to attend Moberly Area Junior College this fall. He was preceded in death by his father, George B. Hughes and paternal grandparents, Mary Opla and Dewey Hughes.
Jon was a member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church and had been active in 4-H. Throughout high school, he was active in the Future Farmers of America; he proudly received his State Farmer Degree this past April. He loved his community, family and friends. His favorite times were spent with those friends - sometimes hunting, sometimes camping, most often fishing.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Jim Culver at the Keytesville United Methodist Church, Tuesday, August 7, 1990.
Music was provided by Adele Barnett, Jerry Westenkuehler, Connie Jackson and Debbie Sellers.
