Cherie Cluff Webb died, peacefully, Saturday morning, May 11, 2013, a little less than three weeks after her 83rd birthday. She was born on April 21, 1930 in Mesa, Arizona to her parents, the late Ledru Alvin and Annie Merrietta (Lewis) Cluff. She lived in the house she was born in until she married V. June Webb and moved to Vernon, Arizona where the two began their eternal family. She is survived by her husband Velmer June Webb. She is also survived by: 1 daughter, Vicki (Darny) Willhelm; 6 sons: Thad (Monica), Kim (Jona), Darren (Liesel), Kirk (Christi), Aaron (Deann), Loren (Cara); 1 foster-son, Bahe (Gloria) Black; 47 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren whom all owe Cherie their maternal DNA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas; a daughter, Teresa (Tim) Whatcott; three siblings as well as numerous relatives and friends. Cherie was a dedicated and proficient homemaker. An excellent seamstress, handicrafter and cook, she was always anxiously engaged in many good causes, including her service with the hospital auxiliary for many years. When her five oldest children were teenagers, she would bake ten loaves of homemade bread twice a week to keep them fueled and running. Cherie was a committed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many leadership responsibilities in her ward. Her greatest desire was to be found in the service of her God and her fellow beings. She loved The Lord, Jesus Christ and trusted in His grace. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. The visitaion will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Pinetop-Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1520 Church Lane in Lakeside, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the stake center where additional visitation will begin 1 hour prior.
