Carol A. Landis, 73, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 14, 2019 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 2, 1945 in Du Bois, Pennsylvania to the late Alex F. Miller and the late Clara (Smith) Miller.

Carol worked as a dietician at Butler Memorial Hospital until retiring in 2009. Shortly thereafter, she got involved with the Community Health Clinic where she worked part-time up until her death. She was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and also played in the bell choir. Carol was active in the Soroptimist International of Butler County, where she was past president and current treasurer. Carol helped with the community dinners and was vice president of Meals on Wheels. She was on the VNA Committee for Professional Advancement and a member of the Rodfathers Car Club. Carol participated in the 200 Freedom Celebration Butler Co. and the Fall Literary Club of Butler. She enjoyed painting and cross stitch. Carol was a seamstress and liked to sew.

Carol is survived by her, who she married on August 23, 1969; one son and his wife, two sisters and their husbands and three grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Miller.

Friends will be received on Sunday March 17, 2019 from 6-8 PM, and on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler PA, 16001 with Pastor Merry Meloy, officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.

Entombment will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers, Carol’s family requests memorial donations to the St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church, 201 E Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001, Meals-on-Wheels, 218 E Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001, or Soroptomist International of Butler County, PO Box 1882, Butler PA, 16003 Attn: Marriane Hill.
