Cannie was born one of twins. Her twin brother's name was Willis Lenard who died at the age of one month.
Aunt Cannie passed away at her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in Wagoner County.
Aunt Cannie married Pete Schneider in Cherry Hill, Arkansas Polk County, on February 6, 1927. They lived in the Broken Arrow area for most of their married lives. Aunt Cannie was born the last of 15 children, to Coleman Benjamin Lenard and Alice Augusta Furr. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a long time member of the "Church of God of Prophecy" in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

One of my favorite childhood memories is of Aunt Cannie and Aunt Katie Rankin-Woods making fried pies at the church when I was very young. They would always fry the extra pieces of dough from the pies and give them to all the little kids that were always hanging around. I'm sure we looked like a bunch of little birds!
Aunt Cannie had osteoparosis but never let it get in her way of doing everything she wanted to do.
