ROCHESTER — Services for Sarah E. Gunter, 67, of 418 E. 10th St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Zimmerman Family Funeral Home. She died at 5:48 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997, in Woodlawn Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1929, in Burnettsville, she was the daughter of Charles and Susie Hook Suiter. On Aug. 28, 1948, in Grass Creek, she was married to Russell L. Gunter, who died Nov. 11, 1993. Mrs. Gunter was a former employee of Chamberlain Products of Akron and was a member of Rochester Church of God.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-laws; Anna and Donald Rowan, Fulton, Myra and David J. Cover, Logansport, and Sue Amor, Kewanna; one son, Russell G., Star City; one sister, Betty Carmin, Logansport; one brother, Robert Suiter, Earl Park; 17 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. One sister, two brothers and one stepbrother preceded in death.

The Rev. Larry Pyeatt will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
