Jean D. Reed, 88, passed away March 5, 2019. She was the wife of the late Everett D. Reed, Sr. Born in York, Pa on April 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. Forthman and Arlene L. Stumpf Forthman Smith.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed riding her son Everett's Rabbit Tansit Bus. She worked part time as a cook at the VFW Post 556 in the 60's and 70's.
Jean leaves to cherish her memory, son, Everett D. Reed, Jr., of York; sister-in-law, Alice Forthman, of FL; brother- in-law, Robert Reed and wife Joan, of Windsor; sister-in-law, Grace Fortham; nephew, Richard and wife Anna, of NC; great nephew, Richard; and great niece, Kaloni; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert H. Reed; two brothers, Richard Forthman and William Forthman; a sister, Lois; and step father, Clifford Smith.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Rose Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Fraim will be officiating.
